Wet Magic

On a seaside holiday four children, Francis, Mavis, Bernard and Kathleen, discover that a captured mermaid is being shown as an exhibit at the local circus. They decide to set her free, and in a daring rescue in the dead of night they help her escape and return to the sea. As a reward she takes them to visit her home, plunging them into an amazing series of under-sea adventures. A magical fantasy by the author of 'The Railway Children' and 'Five Children and It.'
