The Snow Queen

In Hans Christian Andersen's classic story, Kay is taken by the evil Snow Queen to her Ice Palace in the far north. His best friend, Gerda, is determined to rescue him. The Snow Queen follows Gerda's amazing journey in a beautiful retelling of the tale, accompanied by high-quality, detailed photographic images from the new film adaptation by the BBC, to be screened by PBS as part of their pledge schedule, from Thanksgiving until December 2006. The book will be offered as a prize for pledges of funds to support local stations (as many as possible of PBS's 350 stations will be screening the film).
