The Company of Strangers

In 1944 the baking summer streets of Lisbon's capital seethe with spies and informers. The Germans have rocket technology and atomic know-how, while the Allies are determined that the ultimate "secret weapon" will not be realized. Into this sophisticated world come Andrea Aspinall, mathematician and spy, and Karl Voss, an embittered and traumatized military attache to the German Legation, on a mission to save Germany from annihilation.
