The Big Pink

If only her parents hadn't gone to work in Pakistan, Angela would never have been wrenched from her friendly local comprehensive and sent to The Moat, the girls' boarding school run by her cold Auntie Pat. Overweight and horribly self-conscious, her introduction to this alien life is a disaster. Auntie Pat disaproves of her figure, and of her dog Muffet. The girls in her dormitory, known as The Big Pink, form the Anti-Angela Society (the AA) just as soon as they realize she's the Head's niece. Inevitably, Angela is soon nicknamed The Big Pink herself.
