The fifth book in Warner's ongoing book series of novels tying into the WB Network show featuring America's favorite superhero, Superman, as a young man growing up in Smallville, Kansas. A disturbing number of Smallville residents are being found dead and dismembered on the grounds of an old military base--a base which is right next door to the LuthorCorp fertilizing plant. Once again it's up to Clark, Lana, Chloe and Pete to try and find out what evil lurks in the heart of Smallville, Kansas.
