In Every Laugh a Tear

Shayna Steinblatt, a thirty-year-old 'nice Jewish girl', is outraged when her beloved Bubbe is committed to a nursing home. While she struggles to help her grandmother accept the situation, Shayna tries to make peace with her mother, who is less than encouraging about Shayna's new and enthralling relationship with a romantic Puerto Rican woman named Luz.
