French Peasant Fascism: Henry Dorgeres' Greenshirts and the Crises of French Agriculture, 1929-1939

This volume explores the actions of The Greenshirts, a far-right peasant movement in 1930s France who wanted to transform the Republic into an authoritatian, agrarian state. They succeeded only in mounting sporadic local actions, but provoked a look at fascism as a whole in French rural society.
