Cumyn's story, "My Future in Insurance," is well told by Charlie Tomlinson in a British accent that gives an additional layer of variety to this anthology. Heighton's "The Dead Are More Visible" is also compelling, as Jane Dingle's unadorned narrative style works well in capturing the emotions of the main characters, as well as the story's gruesome climax.
