This book was written and published during the critical years of protest in the late '60's. James M. Gavin, a retired Lt. General and paratrooper, was at the time with an important consulting firm. I believe the firm name was Arthur D. Little. He was a very early critic of the LBJ/McNamara war in Vietnam and was a frequent commentator on social problems facing the U.S. In this book, he addressed a wide range of them and offered solutions.
