Crimes of War

Friedrich Reile is a well-respected, retired businessman in Winnipeg. Dennis Connor is an investigator stuck in a demoralizing desk job at the Special Prosecutions Unit in Ottawa. Neither of them thought they'd become the men they are today: one leads a quiet life of seclusion after committing heinous crimes as an SS officer, and the other plays the role of a valiant crusading knight when he's really a cynical and joyless bureaucrat. But as Dennis Connor tries to expose Friedrich Reile, both men try to validate their lives -- and discover that all humans share deeper truths.
