The Radio Man was published in 1924, as a serial in Argosy magazine. Brilliant radio engineer, Myles Standish Cabot, accidentally invents a radio apparatus that teleports him to another world, Venus. This Venus has boiling oceans, but the land is habitable, and the continent (or large island) he lands on is inhabited by two races. The dominant race for the last 500 years are the Formians - giant black ants, the size of horses. The other intelligent race are the Cupians, who have blonde hair and blue eyes and human appearance and proportions. Neither race has ears, and communicate through radio waves - a problem quickly resolved with Myles' engineering skills.Cabot meets, allies with and is betrayed by the villainous Prince Yuri of the Formians, in an effort to rescue the Cupian Lilla. What follows are Myles' adventures through trial, sentencing, and utlimately civil war.
